Long before the beaches, Phuket got rich on tin — and the Chinese and Portuguese traders who ran that trade left behind one of South-East Asia's prettiest old towns. This small-group walk (maximum 10 people) links six family-run food stops with the history of the streets: clan mansions, Chinese shrines, the coffee shops that haven't changed their recipes in 70 years. You will try Phuket-style hokkien noodles, moo hong pork belly, dim sum, apong pancakes, local coffee and o-aew, a jelly-and-shaved-ice dessert unique to the island.
No pickup — meet your guide at the Surin Circle Clock Tower on Thalang Road, Phuket Old Town. Grab / taxi from Patong is about 25 minutes.
